BioMeld at the Biointelligence Congress in Stuttgart

On Tuesday (22 Oct), our Project Coordinator Igor Balaž and Roberto Teti and alessandra Caggiano from Smart Sensing attended the 2nd Biointelligence Congress in Stuttgart.

This one-day event focused on the current status and future prospects of biointelligent manufacturing solutions that would overcome the shortcomings of current production systems.
By integrating life sciences, engineering, and information sciences, biointelligence offers innovative approaches to optimize production without compromising prosperity. Attendees
explored global perspectives on the biological transformation of industry and gained cross-industry insights into biointelligent manufacturing.

Key focus areas included biointelligent nutrition research, addressing tools for a sustainable and health-promoting diet; biointelligent production systems, utilizing AI-enhanced biotechnological processes; innovations in personalized therapy and diagnostics; and the fusion of biology and design for climate-compatible living.

Our team used this congress as a valuable networking platform to meet others working in the similar field of research. They met with project coordinators of two other projects funded under the same call (Development of technologies/devices for bio-intelligent manufacturing) Ralf Takors of the BIOS project and Yannick Baumgarten of the BioProS project and discussed possibilities for future collaboration and joint dissemination activities.
